we believe that there has to be a reason, a plan, a purpose behind everything that we do.
Jeremiah 29:11 says “I have a plan for you, declares the Lord...”
here’s why we’re here:
C3 youth.church is here to reach students with God's love, grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ, honor God with our lives, connect with other Christians, and to live out our God-given abilities.
Everything we do fits into at least 1 of these purposes.
think about it like a compass. everything that we do should be based off of our first purpose: to honor God with our lives.
God deserves my whole life so I will live my life for him.
[Colossians 3:17] - "And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father."
there are 4 “directions” that we can now point that purpose of honoring God
reach: lost people matter to God so I will tell my friends about Christ.
[Luke 19:10] - "And I, the Son of Man, have come to seek and save those like him who are lost."
grow: God wants to be known by me so I will spend time with Him.
[Matthew 14:23] - "Afterward he (Jesus) went up into the hills by himself to pray."
connect: no one should stand alone, so I will experience life with others.
[Proverbs 17:17] - "A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in a time of need."
live: everyone is uniquely gifted so I will look for ways to leave my mark.
[Exodus 28:3] - "Instruct all those who have special skills..."
